The Town of Argyle, Texas is a rural oasis in the Dallas – Ft. Worth Metroplex, strategically located in the apex of what is often referred to as the Golden Triangle.

Nestled in southern Denton County, between the communities of Denton, Lewisville and Flower Mound, Argyle is an easy commute to major employment centers. Entertainment, shopping, recreation, and health services are all nearby, and DFW International Airport is only 30 minutes away.

Denton County is one of the fastest growing in the United States, boasting corporate giants such as American Airlines, Zenith Electronics, Nestle’s, Federal Express, Bell Helicopter/Textron, Nokia, and Wal-Mart with its new 218 acre regional distribution center, all located within 15 minutes of Argyle. It is also home to The University of North Texas [the state’s 4th largest public university] and Texas Women’s University, which combined enroll 38,000 students annually.

Only 10 minutes away are the Texas Motor Speedway, the second largest such sports facility in the world, and the 9,600 acre Alliance Airport / business park, already home to over 80 companies and more than 20 million square feet of space. The area is also a residential Mecca. Lantana, a 1,700 acre golf course community is selling rapidly as is the 6,000 acre Robson Ranch retirement community, and others are in planning stages.

In the heart of it all is Argyle. Known for its equestrian facilities, acreage home-sites, and highly respected schools, the community is rapidly becoming one of regions most sought after addresses. Argyle’s current population of 2,900+ is anticipated to grow to approximately 12,000, but about 80% of the community is planned to retain its rural country estate flavor.

More moderately priced housing opportunities will flourish generally along Hwy 377 and the IH-35W corridors, and the Town Council has very recently approved a request expected to double the historical Old Town of Argyle, with quaint, turn of the century homes, shopping, offices and a new Town Hall.

Argyle is also gaining national notoriety for its annual Bluegrass Festival, held the first weekend in March. It is a wonderful time for family and making new friends, and people are coming from all over the country.
